The Institute of Jurisprudential and Historical Studies has 14 faculty members, with all have Ph.D. degrees, and makes a fantastic research team. The Institute’s main research focus and interest include jurisprudence study, legal philosophy, legal history, human right, law and society, judicial studies, legal methodology, international human rights studies, comparative law and comparative studies of legal ideas. The institute has produced a great number of highly influential academic publications, and especially led the national academics in the field of human rights, Tang Code and Legal Confucianism studies. The Shandong Law Society Research Base with the focus on major legal theoretical issues and main practical problems in democracy and rule of law building has successfully conducted numerous research projects on local legislations, government regulations, judicial reform, social governance, and etc..
